Keep Our Ways Strong Indigenous Corporation acknowledges and honours Arrernte people as the Traditional Owners and custodians of Mparntwe.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and acknowledge the cultural authority, knowledge and strength of Arrernte people, families and community.
We honour the generations who have cared for Country, kept culture strong and passed knowledge, language and responsibility to the generations that follow.

Keep Our Ways Strong Indigenous Corporation (KOWS IC) is an Aboriginal-led, community-based organisation in Mparntwe (Alice Springs).
KOWS grew from conversations with community about how we can strengthen the support around our young people before they become caught up in the justice system.
Our approach is grounded in a simple belief: strong young people grow from strong families, strong culture and strong communities.
We bring together young people, families, cultural leaders, schools, community members and organisations to listen, learn and develop locally led responses that build connection, belonging and opportunity.
Where KOWS Began
Keep Our Ways Strong began with conversations in Mparntwe about young people, families and community.
Rather than asking “What's wrong?”, KOWS began by asking:
What already makes our young people, families and communities strong, and how do we build more of it?
Those conversations shaped KOWS as an Aboriginal-led organisation focused on strengthening the supports around young people before they become caught up in the justice system.
In May 2026, Keep Our Ways Strong Indigenous Corporation was formally incorporated, creating a foundation for community-led work grounded in culture, connection and local decision-making.
